Robert Perlmuter, MD, a primary care physician who has been practicing medicine in Chicago for 31 years, wrote a featured article for *Chicago Medicine* *Magazine* about data-driven rising trends that optimize patient health. Perlmuter highlights VillageMD's innovative toolset, docOS, a primary care-centered operating system that allows clinicians and patients to engage in patient care beyond the exam room. "It can break down information silos to extract clinical and financial data from electronic medical records (EMRs), practice systems, payer claims systems, and hospitals and skilled nursing facilities," said Perlmuter.
