VillageMD co-founders Dr. Clive Fields and Paul Martino spoke with Health IT Outcomes during the HIMSS15 event in Chicago, IL.
Fields and Martino were asked about patient population management challenges faced at Fields' Village Family Practice in Texas, and how VillageMD is working to improve the primary care model. They also highlighted their experience with health care technologies, including their use of NextGen and Talix solutions.
According to Dr. Fields, "Ultimately the patient should experience better care and...the physician should feel better about what he’s doing: able to identify those patients beforehand, there’d be more of his time, able to measure the outcomes of the work that he does, and actually be paid for the performance that he generates."
